We are more than half-way to Halloween and quickly approaching Christmas in July. While we are getting ready to indulge in summer activities here in St. Cloud, we know that businesses and event planners are already planning their holiday parties and for good reason! Venue space in Central Florida, and especially St. Cloud can be limited when searching for the perfect venue to host your next holiday party. The Pearl of the Lake not only provides a venue space for up to 100 people, it also includes a view and experience unlike anything else in Central Florida.
The Venue
The Pearl is a 40 year old paddlewheel boat that spent her early years up north. She recently came down to Florida in the winter of 2023 to start her career in warmer waters. Her main deck features entertaining space, two bathrooms, and a bar. She is also boasting a player piano currently that churns out vintage music. The main deck usually has 8 tables with chairs however, these tables can easily be moved around to suit your parties needs.
On the upper deck we have bench seating, an overhead canopy, and beautiful views as far as you can see. Depending on the needs of your party, we have turned our bench seating into a pew style arrangement and also opened up the arrangement to allow for dancing.
The Food
We understand that when it comes to hosting a party, all the details can beome overwhelming. That is why we now offer catering through several local businesses. You can meet with our event manager who will walk you through the catering order process and then you can arrive the day of your event a little less stressed.
We offer a variety of catering options to fit most budgets. We proudly work with Cocktails Catering, The VFW Post 3227, 10th Street Produce, Granny's Southern Smokehouse, and Publix to provide you with a variety of catering options. When you order catering through us, we will provide all cutlery included in the price.
The Experience
After your guests have boarded The Pearl we will embark on our adventure around East Lake Toho. The route the Captain takes depends a lot on the weather to make sure you have the best trip possible. Typically, the trip involves heading out past The Dan Tarrell Memorial Point, known locally as "The Point." We then make our way over to the Narcoossee side of the lake where you can see Chisolm Park and some of the large houses that sit on the lake. As we make our way around the back of the lake you can see Lake Nona's Medical Center including the V.A. Hospital. During the winter you are likely to see planes flying directly over us as they make their way to Orlando International Airport. From there, we cut straight across the lake to head back to shore. While we cannot guarantee any specific sight seeing there are chances to see wildlife every time we go out.
